This video is a great tutorial to the many benefits of Wiki! It give great examples of students that she knows that have enjoyed and benefited from using a Wiki.
The most significant takeaway from this video is how wiki's can be used to collaborate. The students can post a comment or question and others can respond. I like to think of it as more of a constant emailing system. All are able to comment on one another.
This is a great way to communicate with one another, but I must question the impersonal side of Wiki. I am all for talking on the phone than texting or emailing the person.
Well, talking on a the phone or emailing someone is great when the communication is 1 to 1, but when you have a larger group for collaborating it gets more difficult to use those methods. I think group collaboration is where wiki value is really shown.
